UNUSUAL SHAPE MULTICOLOR SILVER PROOF COIN

In 2009 Fiji released this delightful series of eight multi-color silver-plated dollar coins featuring "Great Animals of the World". The reverse of each coin features a different animal, along with a multi-color image of the animals fur or skin. Included are the Cheetah, Elephant, Giraffe, Koi Carp, Leopard, Giant Panda, Tiger and Zebra. The name of the animal is given in five different languages. Queen Elizabeth is pictured on the obverse of the 2009 dated coins.
TRI-METAL COIN SET ON WORLD CUP FOOTBAL, 2010
The above coins are tri-metallic featuring African wildlife and the soccer stadiums in South Africa where the World Cup Football-2010 were played. The set contains ten tri-metal 1 Dollar coins from Fiji dated 2010. The obverse of each coin features Queen Elizabeth. The reverse of each coin depicts an African animal peering into one of the stadiums where the World Cup games were played.

Fiji recently issued this
2012 dated 38.6mm silver-plated mulit-colored dollar coin on commemorating
Carnival in Rio. One of the most famous Carnival celebrations takes place in
Rio, where thousands of participants take part in the dozen parades. A
multi-colored Samba dancer in full costume is featured on the coin, with the
famed Sugarloaf Mountain in the background. The coin has a mintage of just
2,500 pieces. Queen Elizabeth is on the obverse.

NON RINGED BI-METAL COIN SET
The above 1 Dollar coins are non-ringed bi-metallic Fiji feature famous explorers of the Pacific and their sailing ships. Each coin is struck in base metal, layered in 24ct gold and then highlighted with rhodium to accent the explorer. Explorers included are: William Bligh, who sailed with James Cook, though is renowned for the notorious mutiny under his command on HMS Bounty; James Cook who discovered Australia and Hawaii during his explorations of the Pacific; Sir Francis Drake an English explorer and privateer who circumnavigated the globe; Ferdinand Magellan, a Portuguese explorer who lead a Spanish expedition through the Straits of Magellan into the Pacific; Jacob Le Maire and Willem Schouten who were the first Europeans to visit Tonga and the Cocos Islands; Abel Tasman, the first European to visit New Zealand and Fiji, and for whom the Australian island of Tasmania is named. The obverse of each coin features Queen Elizabeth and dated 2009.
